I get asked this all the time “What does a Virtual Assistant do?”.  And it is difficult to quantify.  Because it depends on a number of things.  Who the VA works for, what do they niche in, are they a tech VA, or a generalist?

So, I have made a list and this is by no means exhaustive.  All VA’s offer something different depending on who they support.  Here are a few ways that I support my clients and that you could outsource to a Virtual Assistant:

  1. Email Management
  2. Booking appointments with clients
  3. Following up with clients/customers
  4. Calendar Management
  5. Research on certain topics for i.e. blogposts and newsletters
  6. Email marketing
  7. Preparing Slideshows (PowerPoint Presentations)
  8. Website management
  9. Creating marketing material
  10. Travel arrangements
  11. Running online courses and supporting webinars
  12. Event coordination and organisation
  13. Project coordination and management
  14. Transcription (transcribing voicemail, video or audio, podcasts etc.)
  15. Creating basic reports (reports on weekly tasks, deliverables, sales)
  16. Liaison between you and other team members
  17. Set-up Social Media Accounts (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube)
  18. Manage and update Social Media Accounts
  19. Manage and publish posts on your Blog, filter and reply to comments on your blog
  20. Lifestyle management
  21. Typing up notes
  22. File Management (organizing files using Dropbox etc.)
  23. Database building (e.g. updating email or contact lists on your CRM)
  24. Website design
  25. Survey design

To name but a few!!!
